Welcome Sisters, Parents, Alumnae and Prospective New Members !

As president of the Iota Lambda chapter of Alpha Phi, I am thrilled to share with you all a glimpse of our fabulous sisterhood! Please take an opportunity to browse through our website and learn more about our chapter.

Alpha Phi was founded at the University of Connecticut in March of 2008. Since then, we have continued to uphold the values and traditions set forth by our founders. These values of personal growth, sisterly love and academic excellence are the same ones that ring true in the hearts of women in the 140+ international Alpha Phi chapters.

I went through formal recruitment my sophomore year at the University of Connecticut and after a chaotic weekend of singing, clapping, and lots of glitter, I had no doubt in my mind that Alpha Phi was the right choice for me. Choosing the Iota Lambda chapter is a decision that has  subsequently shaped the past two years of my life. I have found sisters who support my endeavors, share my dreams and passions, and challenge me to be the very best version of myself. Each morning, as I step onto the beautiful Storrs campus, I am reminded of how lucky I am to be part of such a strong sisterhood. Whether it is a quick “hello” on Fairfield Way or a lunch date at the Student Union, my sisters have a strong presence on campus and have empowered me to dedicate myself to the success of our organization.

I hope you enjoy our website and feel free to contact me with any questions !

All The Best,

Jessica Metcalf
