A LETTER FROM THE PRESIDENT

Welcome to the Iota Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi!

Visitors, Sisters, Parents, Alumnae and Prospective New Members,

As Chapter President, I am excited for you to get a glimpse of what life is like as an Alpha Phi. The fraternity was founded at Syracuse University in 1872. Now, Alpha Phi exists on 164 collegiate campuses across the nation and we all believe in the same mission: to support one another in lifelong achievement. Our Iota Lambda chapter has been at UConn since 2008, and continues to prosper with the help of each and every sister supporting each other.

From the first day that I was in Alpha Phi, I knew I was in the right place. There was never a time where I felt alone, and that has stuck to this very day. Constantly knowing that I have so many resources on campus and women who feel like my biological sisters is something irreplaceable. As just a sophomore, I know that Alpha Phi has given me the warmest shoulders to cry on, the brightest and most contagious smiles everyday, and memories that will stick with me for the rest of my life.

I could go on and on about how blessed this chapter makes me feel, but instead I welcome you all to explore this page and see through pictures some of my favorite parts of this life as an Alpha Phi. I’m honored to serve as the Chapter President of Iota Lambda, and am already dreading when the end of my term comes. Until then, however, I’m eager to make the most of each day, which will certainly come easily being surrounded by 149 women I call my sisters!

Please feel free to contact me with any questions or just to say hello, at aphiuconnpresident@gmail.com.

AOE,

Charlotte Williamson
