You may think that going “back to school” would become lackluster as a senior, however, my experience is quite the opposite. The start to a new year does mean a return to some things; the same house, same friends, and the same dining hall food, however, there are many new and exciting things happening as well. New ideas from sisters such as Sam Keyes, Jackie Golicz, Kayla Jowdy, Kate Antonio, and Kristin Saladis who all attended Greek leadership conferences this summer. New updates to our home, D1 Husky Village, including paint, wood floors, appliances and even new laundry machines! And perhaps the most exciting of all, new members to join Alpha Phi.
As a founding member of the Iota Lambda chapter I am beyond thrilled to see that the legacy of our sisterhood (a truly unique one at that) will continue on with the younger members of Alpha Phi. Our sisterhood encompasses all different types of women, whose talents and personalities shine throughout the 4 days of recruiting new members. With the help of the Panhellenic Council which governs all social sororities on campus, we hope that recruitment will be even more successful than ever this year. You can check out the Panhellenic recruitment video here to let you know a little bit more about Alpha Phi as well as other UConn sororities!
Be sure to check back on the blog for updates on recruitment, bid day, homecoming, etc. from all of our officers throughout this fall.
Enjoy the last weeks of summer,
Kristen
i just wanted to leave a comment on here to say you really promote yourself well! i’m a transfer and am looking to rush. based on the website alone i’m definitely considering alpha phi! it’s nice to see newly updated things and people who are taking time to write blogs. some sorority websites here are so bland and old looking, this one is awesome.
Thank you so much for the compliment! Please refer the the “Join” page if you are looking into becoming a Panhellenic Woman at UConn. Also check out the link to the Greek Life website at the bottom of the page. You will be able to learn a lot more about all 8 chapters!
