A Whirlwind of Sisterhood…

I am so excited to see what this weekend’s activities will being to our sisterhood!  It is only the second weekend with the new members who were just added to our chapter, and I can honesty say that they have already begun to show what amazing assets they will be to Alpha Phi.  Throughout this weekend, we planned sisterhood events to deepen the friendships and ties which have begun to form not only between the newer sisters, but also with those who are older.

This morning Alpha Phi hosted a sisterhood paint balling trip to Matt’s Outback Paintball in Coventry, CT.  It was truly a sight to see 100 girls dressed in Alpha Phi apparel, working together to try and get the flags from the other side of the paintball course.  Pictured above are Kristen Quann (senior), Lauren Harrigan (freshman) and Kelsey OToole (sophomore).  We had an absolute blast and even brought home an honorary member to Alpha Phi – Charlie, an abandoned Labrador Retriever!  He will be residing in an off campus house with a few of our sisters.

Later tonight, after everyone has cleaned up the paint from this morning, we are having a Sisterhood Camp Out.  We have rented tents and sleeping bags for all of our women and will be camping out in the backyard of one of our sister’s houses (walking distance from campus).  I am so excited to share Alpha Phi stories and memories around the campfire and to get to know everyone even more.

With that, I should probably go clean the paint out of my hair and get ready for the event.

Thanks for keeping up with our blog!
